Help Nana’s Heart Keep Beating

Please help if you can.
Nana has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
We rushed her to an emergency vet where she spent nearly 24 hours on oxygen and getting the meds she needed to bring her breath rate down and get rid of the fluid around her heart and in her lungs.
She’s home now, but she has to take it easy, we need to keep a closer eye on her, see a cardiologist, and she will need medication for the rest of her life to keep her little heart going. The life expectancy after heart failure is anywhere from a few months to a few years.
Nana lights up our world, greets us with toothy smiles and steals our shoes. She loves sunshine and sitting on the couch like a human. She likes chasing grasshoppers, bird watching, belly rubs, being held like a baby, pillows, looking out the car window, and getting treats from the lovely folks at Copper Star Coffee. She’s our kid and we’re so endlessly thankful that we get to be graced with her life for a little longer. We’re wrecked, but taking it one day at a time.
We are stubbornly independent and don’t like asking for help, but this is an immense unexpected expense for us. We would really appreciate any support you’re able to give and sharing this ask. We’d be forever grateful.
The money from this fund is for the $4,000 emergency vet bill, medications, follow up appointments and the cardiologist.
FYI: If you notice your pup is having a consistent increased breath rate (especially when resting), a hacking cough often, is more tired than usual, and/or is losing strength in one or both of their back legs, get them checked out and be pushy. Especially if they have a heart murmur. Don’t let the vet tell you it’s fine if you feel like something isn’t right!
