HELP NANAS SWEETS BAKERY
Donation protected
Hi Everybody,
My name is Rosy, and I am reaching out to as many people as possible to help my good friend Jennifer save her bakery. Many of you probably know that we have all fallen on hard times during this Covid epidemic. Unfortunately, so has Nanas Sweets Bakery. Nanas Sweets Bakery is trying its best to stay open and continue serving the East Chicago area and neighboring communities.
I began working for Jennifer (Nana) in 2021. Amid a pandemic, Jennifer welcomed me in as her employee. During the year I worked at Nanas Sweets Bakery, I gained knowledge and experience and became lifelong friends with Jennifer. I admire her for her ambition to give the community baked goods that are fresh and preservative free, but I also admire her open heart. I have first-hand experience of the compassion that she continuously displays. For example, she has opened her door for the school children and elderly at bus stops near the bakery to come in from the cold or extreme heat. Offering them a hot coffee, hot chocolate, or cold bottle of water as they sit and watch for their bus to arrive. She has never turned away a hungry person. If there is a will, then there is a way. Jennifer makes regular donations to the salvation army and creates programs such as Free Cookies for an A as an inspiration to the school children that come into the bakery. She also furnishes treats for an East Chicago school to incorporate perfect attendance awards.
Nanas Sweets Bakery opened on May 17th, 2021, and in this short time, it has been an asset to the community. Recently Nana has offered new items to healthy choices to the menu, such as chicken, beef and salmon wraps. In addition, there are always gluten-free and sugar-free options on the baked goods menu. Jennifer has expanded the eating options in the East Chicago area and continues to be an asset to the community.
