HELP NATALIE BEAT LYME DISEASE

I often think, ‘how can something the size of a poppy seed create so much turmoil, pain, and deliberating symptoms’ ? Why with so much technology at our fingertips do we treat those with many chronic health issues as guineas pigs and pill vessels? For over a decade, I have been a part of this broken health system and all my energy is spent advocating for my health and treatment. The “bugs”—Lyme, Bartonella, and Babesia appear to be winning this war, but I will not give up.

I have neurological Lyme and honestly this foe has caused 24/7 pain, severe neuropathy, anxiety/depression, GI issues and more physical ailments. I call Lyme the whack a mole illness- the game played at the shore when the participant uses a fake club to clobber the mole, but other moles pop up) because as one hideous symptom retreats more come along. This very real epidemic continues to wreck lives with little research funding, political storms, and a traditional medical system that refuses to believe in POST LYME. You get the picture? Insurance denies health benefits and a patient is not only left advocating their illness but a medical system that fails to understand the level of suffering. Many have lost their entire life savings.

After trying a multitude of modalities, I have decided to return to Germany to try procedures not offered in the US. Here my body is pumped with antibiotics which makes things worse, and I am emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted. Overseas, I will receive hyperthermia (did this years ago and gained cognitive and high energy levels) as well as plasmapheresis (similar to a dialysis) I will also be working with a naturopath and receiving IV herbs to kill the bugs and modulate my immune system.

While I despise having to ask for assistance (those that know me understand my fierce independence and resolve) a medical trip like this is very expensive. Even if you can only donate a small amount, please realize it will benefit my healing.

I’ll be away from the safety of my home for an entire month and pray that I can return to work (even part-time) and start living more. I deserve more and pray that the universe provides.
