Help Natalie Pay for Surgery and Physical Therapy
Donation protected
Horse industry—have you ever thought about what would happen if your trainer fell off and sustained a serious injury? Given the nature of the industry, many trainers do not have adequate medical coverage. They devote their life to their work, so what happens if they fall off and get hurt?
On August 13, 2020, during a training ride, Natalie fell off and sustained a grade 3 tear of her ACL and MCL. She has spent the last month waiting for the swelling to go down so she can finally have corrective surgery. Her surgery is on October 2, but she will need help from friends and family to pay for the surgery and the six to eight months of subsequent physical therapy. The surgery itself costs $14,000, and physical therapy will cost approximately $1,000 per month.
If you’ve ever wondered how your horse trainer would pay for a serious injury, please consider donating.
Natalie is incredibly grateful to her barn family who has already donated money and accessories, such as braces and crutches. Not to mention her amazing students who are currently volunteering to assist Natalie in the arena and keep her teaching!
