Help Natalie Play Disc Golf On Tour

My name is Natalie Ryan, I'm currently the top ranked openly transgender professional disc golfer. When I was around 20 years old and still attending college I started to transition; it was horribly frightening. Despite being in college and having access to a wide range of services it was still incredibly difficult to find someone who would help me. Eventually, I was referred to someone that actually listened to what I was saying and got the ball rolling. After years of treatment, despite dropping out of college, I finally started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I finally started to feel like I was "normal". Shortly after, I met my partner who introduced me to disc golf. Now I'm 26 years old and for the last three years of my life I have been falling in love with the sport. I would love nothing more than to make this my career.
Disc golf is a smaller sport so getting started as a professional is financially challenging. Entering tournaments is expensive and registrations are opening soon. With the tour stretching all throughout the country, travel is inevitable along with the cost of doing so. Since I still have a day job I will only be playing the tour events on the east coast. Currently my plan is to save as much money as I can over the next few months so that I can live out of my car during the touring season, but it's not enough.
So, friends, family, and anyone else who happened to find themselves here, I'm asking for your support to help me raise money so that I can register for some of the tournaments on the tour. My goal is to be a symbol for all other LGBT folks within the sport to look up to, and to give other trans people some hope. Hope that maybe, just maybe, being transgender doesn't mean we will have to abandon all of the things that we love.
