Help Natalie’s fight with cancer

In January 2021 during lockdown my beautiful sister had some stomach problems. We tried to get into see the doctors but covid was taking over everything! Finally we got her into an out of hours GP in Old Swan, Liverpool who said she had a water infection and prescribed antibiotics. 10 days later, feeling no better she went back and again was prescribed a second bout of antibiotics. Again Still no better she finally got to see the GP and because she described having pain in her right hand side she was referred for an ultrasound which led to being told that Natalie had kidney stones and a lot of them! She then needed an MRI scan. We waited a few weeks before the scan was finally done. Many phone calls later trying to find out what was going on we finally got a GP appointment where we had the devastating news that Natalie had cancer and a very large tumour on her kidney. Natalie’s kidney had to be removed but in order for the operation to be successful Natalie had to have a kidney embolism prior to this. This was horrendous for my sister, they effectively kill your kidney so it decreases in size but pain relief wasn’t working so she endured this operation in extreme pain. Once removed it was discovered that the tumour was 12.7cm in size. We also learnt that Natalie’s cancer was aggressive and terminal on a scale of 1-10 it was graded 9 on the gleasons scale. The plan had been for keyhole surgery to remove the tumour however due to the size Natalie underwent an operation that led to having a large incision to get the tumour out! She smashed that surgery and was told immunotherapy was to be started to make sure that if anything had been left behind it would teach her immune system and body to fight it. After a few months on this treatment we had another scan to check progress and sadly we learnt that another tumour had grown so immunotherapy was no longer working or an option! It had grown quite quickly so another treatment was nessecary now. Clatterbridge decided chemotherapy in tablet form was the next step. Whilst Natalie has been on this she has been so unwell losing a lot of weight and having other health issues along side cancer. Natalie had a very lengthy stay in hospital during the summer of 2022 bravely fighting sepsis, which doctors thought she wasn’t gonna make it through, she fought hard to stay alive for her daughter. As we all know Natalie has had a very successful nail business for over 20 years and added beauty and aesthetics to this ever growing business and smashed every part of it, until cancer got too much and she is now just too tired! Heart breaking as it is Natalie has had to give up her business as at her last appointment in October 31st 2022 we were told the devastating prognosis of 12-18 months left for her Natalie has done and will continue to fight with everything she has. As everyone knows she has a beautiful teenage daughter India, who she has devoted her life to and raised as a single mum. In the coming months India will need all the help she can get. We are doing this gofundme page to get as much help for India’s future as we possibly can! She is a beautiful young girl who is aspiring to be a nurse and doesn’t need the pressure of grieving and paying adults bills. And as any parent would want to able to help their child as they grow Natalie’s time is sadly limited to do so, so we need all the help we can get to help put Natalie’s mind at rest and leave a legacy for India. We please ask that you donate as little or as much as you can to please help ease Natalie’s mind and India’s too ❤️
Thankyou so much
