In Honor of Nathan - Forever in Our Hearts

Donation protected
2/7/25 - We are heartbroken. We lost Nathan today at 6pm. Sarah, his family, and two of his best friends were with him. His injuries were just too much strain on his body.

Sarah and I spoke for about an hour this evening. We cried a lot and laughed a little. It is so easy to tell Nate stories, and smile, and forget your grief for just a moment. He will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Nathan was self-taught in graphic design, and he was so incredibly talented. He was very smart and could learn anything he was challenged with. He was quick-witted and a joy to be around. We are going to miss him terribly.

I told Sarah that maybe we will see his designs in the clouds now when we look to the skies. I know I will be looking.

Thank you, everyone, for your support through our longest 16 days, and thank you for your continued support while Sarah navigates through this most difficult time in her life.

1/29/25 - While we wait for further progress updates on Nate, I thought it would be nice to share a happy moment of Nathan and Sarah’s relationship. Early last year Nate requested time off work to travel to Ohio with Sarah and propose to her during the Great North American Eclipse. He was SO excited. When Sarah’s ring was ready, he brought it to work for all of us to see. It was beautiful and the stone was moonstone. He was so proud of the ring he had chosen for her. On April 8th, 2024, Sarah said “yes” during the eclipse. There was a plot twist though...unbeknownst to Nate, Sarah had planned to propose to Nate during the eclipse! Nate (of course) also said “yes.” The band she chose for him is lined with sunstone. They really are a perfect match!

Nathan and Sarah's world was rocked on 1/22/25.

While driving his motorcycle to work yesterday in Orange City, FL, Nathan was in an accident with a car, thrown in the air into the road, and then struck by a second vehicle, sustaining life-threatening injuries. Nate is hospitalized and fighting for his life, and his fiancée Sarah is by his side. Nate is in a medically induced coma, and after a full day of trauma surgery, he will be facing several more life-saving and structural surgeries. His injuries are devastating and life-changing. He was wearing his helmet.

I am Nathan's employer and friend, and one of his biggest fans. To know Nate is to love Nate. He is sweet, kind, considerate, always friendly, and always happy. Having Nathan in our lives has been nothing but a blessing. We are a small but very tight-knit work family at ImageWorks, and our work family extends to our employees' families, including Nathan's fiancée, Sarah. This GoFundMe is being established for Sarah to be able to stay by Nate's side through this tragedy, allow her to stop working, and to handle all finances for their home and their needs. I know the ask is very large, but I feel they will need a lot of support, as there is so much unknown and so much to navigate through.

Prayer is powerful, and we welcome as much prayer as possible. If you are not able to donate, sharing this cause is extremely helpful. The further the reach, the more help we can gather for them.

I have reached out to oneblood.org to organize a blood drive to help with our local blood banks, in Nate's honor. Once this is set up, I will share the information.

Thank you so much for helping in any way you can.
