Help Nathan Stay Somm Strong

ATX Somms is banding together to lend our support to Nathan 'NTP3' Prater in his fight against cancer. Nathan has been a pinnacle of the Sommelier community in Austin and far beyond, donating countless hours and years to mentorship and wine education for anyone who asks. He has also donated his time year after year volunteering at community events to help them run seamlessly - TEXSOM, Somms Under Fire, W&FF Rare & Fine Wine Auction (just to name a few) would not be the same without him.

As many in our industry have been, his consulting business was drastically affected by the pandemic over the last two years. This, combined with acquiring the necessary coverage to pay for surgery and chemotherapy, has taken a serious toll on his family's finances.

Nathan had surgery in October 2021 to remove the cancer, however, it had spread to the lymph nodes, so he started chemotherapy treatment this month.

Please consider donating to help ease the burden of the medical bills and keep Nathan focused on the ultimate prize of kicking this cancer out for good. Every little bit counts!
