Hello Everyone,
This is Roxanne, Adelita and Sabrina and we're part of a wonderful dance company based in Brooklyn, NY called Nathan Trice/RITUALS. Nathan Trice is our wonderful Artistic Director, our driving force.
Unfortunately Nathan recently experienced a severe seizure caused by swelling in his brain from a mass called meningioma; a noncancerous tumor that arises from the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. He was taken to Kings County Hospital by ambulance. There he completed an MRI of the brain which found the meningioma with surrounding swelling. He's under the care of a neurosurgeon and he is stable. It is recommended the meningioma be surgically removed, but thankfully it is not urgent and he will have the opportunity to go home and recover from the seizure before undergoing surgery.
Nathan Trice, Artistic Director/Choreographer, Anti-Racist Organizer and Inter-Spiritual practitioner is originally from Detroit, MI. He is a 1990 honorable discharged veteran who began his artistic career in 1998 under the direction of Aulani Chun in San Diego, CA while simultaneously completing the remaining two years of a four-and-a-half year contract with the US NAVAL Service. Trice also spent time in between performing for other choreographers developing and presenting his own choreographic work, teaching philosophy, style and technique.
