Help Native Children after Tragic COVID Loss!

This fundraiser has been set up for the benefit of the Boone family and the Snow children. On August 29th, 2021 We lost an amazing friend.  Phyllis Harden was many things to many people: mother, aunt, grandmother, caretaker, Pomo elder, and friend. She was the matriarch of her family, the person everyone could always count on in a time of need. A retired state worker, she lived in West Sacramento and raised her family, and was raising her grandchildren. Although vaccinated, she lost her fight to COVID, two weeks after her husband passed from COVID. She did not get to bury him or be able to grieve as she just found out she tested positive for COVID. She told a few of us that she had one goal and that was to see each of her grandchildren who lived with her walk across the stage to receive their high school diploma. She dedicated herself to her family, worked to help others in the Native American community, and was her grandson's biggest fan, taking Vinny to his many baseball games.

Phyllis leaves behind many family and friends including the grandchildren that were being raised by her. Annette Ochoa and I, have created this fundraiser to help assist her sons, Tracy and Mike, financially during this difficult time as they will be burying both parents, paying Phyllis's mortgage, and assisting in raising her four grandchildren. Phyllis' last three wishes to her sons were to make sure they did not lose the house for her grandsons, help them finish school, and continue with Vinny's baseball. All of the funds donated will benefit the four grandchildren, ages 4-17 whom Phyllis was raising.

Phyllis was the kindest person. We wish to honor Phyllis by helping her final wishes for her grandchildren come true. Thank you for your consideration in helping this family in their time of need,  every little bit helps.
