Help Navy Vet Jordan Attend DNC

I'm Jordan True (he/him) from Des Moines, and I've been selected as one of Iowa's Delegates to the Democratic National Convention for 2024. Please help me offset the costs of my travel, hotel, and related expenses to attend the 2024 DNC in Chicago from August 18th-23rd.

I am a 31-year-old Navy Veteran with a 100% Service-Connected Disability rating, Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party's State Disability Caucus, and active union member of AFSCME 61 Local 3450.

I was born and raised in Mason City, Iowa, and I enlisted in the Navy in the Summer of 2010 before my senior year of high school. That Summer I also co-founded Mason City High School's Gay-Straight Alliance and volunteered with the Cerro Gordo County Democrats to make calls, knock doors, and register voters. Since I would not be old enough to vote before serving in the military, I wanted to do my part to increase turnout.

I served on active-duty Navy as a Master-at-Arms (military police) from July 2011 until February 2019 when I was medically discharged due to my service-connected disabilities. I earned my master's in international studies from Claremont Graduate University in 2021, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in American & Comparative Politics. I moved back to Iowa in 2022 determined to build a progressive future for generations to come.

Amtrak Roundtrip = $80
