Help NC & TN Hurricane Victims with Laura's Team

We are NURSES FOR NC & TN. My name is Laura Williams-Marcum. I am a registered nurse. Myself, along with my healthcare friends are working to assist in relief efforts for Western NC and Eastern TN. We work hard to save lives in the hospital every day. We are still working to save lives, just in a different way. 100% of your donations will go towards helping the victims of Hurricane Helene. On September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee with never-before-seen flooding, tornados, and mudslides. Loss of life, family members, loved ones, homes, jobs, automobiles, and beloved pets are only some of the collateral damages. Currently, thousands of people remain displaced and are living in tents and campers. With so much loss of life, the survivors of this event are struggling themselves against freezing temperatures and lack of essential supplies needed to survive. Currently, weather conditions are highs in the 30s and lows in the teens. Trying to survive with children and elderly in tents is extremely difficult, if not impossible, without needed essentials. It's now December, and many feel that they have been forgotten. It is our mission to let these survivors know that they have not been forgotten and that their surrounding communities care about them. PEOPLE are hungry. PEOPLE are freezing. PEOPLE are in pain and grieving. The most vulnerable PEOPLE need our help.

In early November, our newly formed group made their way to NC with two trucks and a U-Haul full of essential supplies. We are making a second trip from Mt Juliet, TN on 12/13/24 and need your help. We need generators, fuel, tents, sleeping bags, tarps, gas camping stoves, blankets, non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene products, paper products, coats, gloves, hats, diapers, formula, batteries, gas cards, and other essentials to take to areas that have been somewhat neglected throughout the relief efforts. These items will be hand-delivered to safe harbors and anyone in need along the way.
