Help Needed for the Sahler Family

Donation protected
If you are lucky enough to know the Sahler Family, you know that they are the sweetest, most loving family but have been struck with tragic obstacles for a few years.

Right now, they need your help.

Bill, Karen and the entire family are the type of people to give their shirts off their back; always willing to help anyone and everyone. It’s now time to please help them.

Early in July, Karen -often described as a beautiful soul by friends, went into the hospital with severe headaches, balance issues and back pain.
The doctors performed a plethora of testing, and it was discovered she had a small amount of Cancer cells in her spinal fluid. This was determined to be the cause of her neurological issues. They performed a spinal tap, removed spinal fluid, and inserted chemotherapy drugs.
Karen responded, and was released on July 9th.

The Sahler Family left for a family vacation on July 11th. They enjoyed a great time together but towards the ends of the trip Karen’s headaches returned.

Karen was schedule to go into the hospital on the 21st to have a port placed into her skull so they can give chemo directly into her spinal fluid. Karen received the surgery, and returned home for only a few days.

With headaches and more medical concerns, she was readmitted to the hospital, where she has been for the last 13 days. She has received 2 chemo treatments through her port in her head, but it was not alleviating the headaches.
A cat scan determined that she was had excess build up of fluid on the brain; they were able to drain fluid on 2 separate occasions, which helped with her headaches a bit.

With more issues arising, they started Karen on Radiation last Thursday; she will need 10 treatments. As of today she has had 3 rounds.

Karen is tough, and continues the fight but, the treatments are very taxing on her mind and her body. The doctors have said that she will get much worse before seeing any results; with hopes for a positive outcome.

This is a very trying time on this close family especially being only 2 family members a day can visit her & she needs them all at this time. Karen has been in the hospital over four weeks out of the last six....

Karen is wife to Bill Sahler and they have three children; Billy Sahler (Special Forces Army Veteran), Chelsea Conklin (a cancer survivor herself), and Courtney Sahler. Courtney and Paula have a little girl and are expecting a baby boy soon. Chelsea and Mike have a son.

Please help Bill and Karen during this rough time. With hospitals stay and concern for Karen, Bill is unable to work his normal hours and the bills continue to pile up.

Bill, Karen and the entire family are the type of people to give their shirts off their back; always willing to help anyone and everyone. It’s now time to please help them.
