Help Needed for Vet Bills and Cremation

Nuestra querida perrija siempre fue la luz de nuestras vidas, un alma alegre que alegraba los días de todos los que vivían en nuestro edificio. Siempre movía la cola y su presencia reconfortaba y alegraba a todos los que la conocían. Pero el viernes 16 de agosto algo cambió. Empezó a decaer y el domingo su estado había empeorado drásticamente. Pasó toda la noche con vómitos y diarrea, mientras nosotros, impotentes, intentábamos consolarla y aliviarla.

El lunes 19 de agosto la llevamos corriendo a una clínica veterinaria, porque por desgracia no tenemos ningún sitio disponible los fines de semana, con la esperanza de que pudieran ayudarla. Pero a pesar de nuestras súplicas y de compartir todos sus síntomas, incluido su doloroso sangrado al orinar, sólo nos dijeron que era un problema estomacal y deshidratación. Le dieron suero y nos enviaron a casa con la promesa de que mejoraría.

Pero no lo hizo. A las pocas horas, nuestro pequeña empezó a tener espasmos. Desesperados, volvimos a la clínica, pero una vez más nos dijeron que sólo era deshidratación. Solo le dieron más suero, pero su estado siguió empeorando y los espasmos se hicieron aún más violentos.

Finalmente, fuimos a otra clínica, donde los análisis de sangre revelaron la devastadora verdad: sus riñones estaban fallando gravemente. Nuestro dulce ángel había empezado a tener convulsiones y las opciones que nos daban eran dolorosamente limitadas. Con lágrimas en los ojos y el corazón roto, nos enfrentamos a la decisión más difícil de nuestras vidas. Nos ofrecieron la opción de probar un tratamiento arriesgado que tenía pocas posibilidades de éxito y que podría tener secuelas en ella o liberarla de su sufrimiento.

Tras horas de agonía, tuvimos que despedirnos de nuestra única perrija, la compañera que llenó nuestros días de amor incondicional.

Ahora, nos encontramos en una situación oscura. No sólo hemos perdido recientemente nuestro trabajo, luchando por pagar el alquiler y las facturas, sino que este golpe nos ha dejado sin aliento, sin fuerzas para seguir adelante. Duele pedir ayuda, pero no tenemos otra opción. Necesitamos apoyo para cubrir los gastos de sus exámenes veterinarios y de su incineración para poder darle la despedida que se merece.

Cualquier ayuda que puedas ofrecernos en estos momentos tan dolorosos se lo agradeceremos de corazón. Nos cuesta encontrar las palabras para expresar el vacío que nos ha dejado su partida, pero sabemos que, con tu apoyo, podremos darle el descanso tranquilo que se merece.

Our beloved dog was always the light of our lives, a joyful soul who brightened the days of everyone in our community building. Her tail was always wagging, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to everyone she met. But on Friday, August 16th, something changed. She began to decline, and by Sunday, her condition had deteriorated dramatically. She spent the entire night battling vomiting and diarrhea, while we, feeling helpless, tried to comfort her and provide some relief.

On Monday, August 19th, we rushed her to a veterinary clinic, because unfortunately we don't have any places available on weekends, hoping they could help. But despite our pleas and sharing all her symptoms, including her painful pee bleeding, we were only told it was a stomach issue and dehydration. They gave her fluids and sent us home with the promise that she would get better.

But she didn’t. Within hours, our little one began having spasms. Desperate, we returned to the clinic, but once again, we were told it was just dehydration. They gave her more fluids, but her condition continued to worsen, and the spasms became even more violent.

Finally, we went to another clinic, where blood tests revealed the devastating truth: her kidneys were failing badly. Our sweet angel had begun to have seizures, and the options we were given were painfully limited. With tears in our eyes and broken hearts, we faced the hardest decision of our lives. We were offered the option of trying a risky treatment that had little chance of success or setting her free from her suffering.

After agonizing hours, we had to say goodbye to our only dog/child, the companion who filled our days with unconditional love.

Now, we find ourselves in a dark place. Not only have we recently lost our jobs, struggling to pay rent and bills, but this blow has left us breathless, with no strength to move forward. It hurts to ask for help, but we have no other choice. We need support to cover the costs of her veterinary exams and cremation so that we can give her the farewell she deserves.

Any help you can offer during this painful time will be deeply appreciated, from the bottom of our hearts. We struggle to find the words to express the emptiness her departure has left, but we know that, with your support, we can give her the peaceful rest she deserves.
