Help needed immediately for Mike and Virginia

Mike and Virginia need our help. Virginia became ill and can't stay in her vehicle ... at least until she becomes well once again. The exposure to sub-freezing weather at night to the now routine rain has forced them into a motel. They don't have money for motel stays beyond a very short time which is up and Virginia is getting better, however, fears that if she has to go back to living in her vehicle will leave her vulnerable to further sickness.

As of now, they don't have money to buy food, gas or anything due to this inability to stay in their car. The money is gone and nowhere near the first of the month when they get their monthly SS and SSI. This situation is dire and putting the health of both on the line.

Allowing a fundraiser is something that has never occurred before. Unless the immediate needs are met, they won't survive the month as things would go without others helping with these costs. After immediate needs are met, there is a longer-term necessity to have an affordable location where Mike can get the paperwork and documentation for getting an additional VA pension for his service in the Navy during wartime. Mike was unaware of this benefit he qualifies for until some months ago he found out he could qualify. Since then it was arranged for a VA advocate to help him with the paperwork and since having to leave that location, the advocate is not returning his calls. He may have to do this himself, unless he can find another advocate, however, either way, that ends up happening, they need a stable affordable place to be until his pension has been completed and they will then have the money to make their money cover basic living expenses.

After losing their home almost 4 years ago, they have been at temporary locations while living in their car when they have no place to stay indoors. Since approval time is not exact and with the slowdown of many government actions during and since the pandemic, how long to get finally approved is unknown. They have helped many, now it is our turn to help them get through this low spot until they get back on their feet once more. Thank You !!
