Help Needed To Stay Enrolled In School

Donation protected
Hello, for those who are reading this I would like to introduce myself. My name is Brodrick Burse I am from Orlando, Florida and I attended Oak Ridge High School, graduating from there in 2016 and I began school at Kansas State University in the fall of 2016. I am now a Junior, and I have been very involved here on campus from being apart of a student run publication that goes by the name of Manhappenin', being Community Assistant for Haymaker Hall in 2017, currently I am the Dell Representative for the campus computer store K-State Cat Tech, and last but certainly not least I am the Vice President for the Kappa Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I am a very dedicated student who is on track to graduate in the Fall of 2020. My only downfall is the fact that the cost of attendance here at K-State is expensive. The rates for an out of state student such as myself is about $12,000 a semester and $23,000 year. I have tried to search up all the aid possible and contribute to chipping my financial aid down as much as possible by working and and trying to get as much help from family as possible but it just turned out it wasn't enough. This has not been an issue that I have ever had to encounter I previously had governmental and institutional financial help such as the Federal Perkins Loan and the Bluemont Grant both of which helped me significantly were discontinued this year which left me with a outstanding balance of $8,000 dollars I have done all I could to lessen the amount I owe, from removing the dining hall meals plan I had, searching for off campus housing to lessen tuition, picking up multiple jobs, and meeting with financial aid advisors for hours. As much as I have worked it has all led to and dead end as I am still needing help. The solution of taking out a private loan is not a feasible option due to the fact that I am a first generation college student and none of my immediate family is of the ability to help me out currently. I am coming to you who are reading this humbly as a young black man who is begging, pleading, and has looked through every option to stay in school but hasn't gotten any answers. I have been diligently working with the staff here at K-State and we have come up with a plan for the 2019-2020 semester that would ensure that we don't run into this issue again down the line while I'm in college. I have turned every stone I could possibly turn and I don't have many other places to go and ask for help as I have already done so. I pray that you who are reading this can find it in your heart to bless me with any amount that you can possibly give me in this situation to help me in this fight to stay in school. If you would like to contact me I am available by email at [email redacted] I hope to hear from you and I thank you, god bless!
