Help Needed with MaryBelle Lennie's ICU & Rehab Care

Dear friends,

Our family is in need of help. And for those who know me and our family, know that I don't take this plea for support lightly.

Our beloved Nanay, MaryBelle Gamboa Dableo, suffered a major stroke on July 5th while visiting her siblings in the Philippines. She remains in the ICU and paralyzed on the left side of her body. She is not responding to medications given for her blood clot, though we are thankful that it has not invaded other parts of her brain.

This is so scary, especially being so far away. Adding to the emotional stress, her travel insurance had just run out when this occurred. We are financing all the medical expenses out of pocket, which I'm sure you can all imagine are becoming immense. Four cranial CT scans so far, neurologists, cardiologists, rehab, labs, medications, round-the-clock care, as we pray she is able to recover, speak, and someday walk again.

I am almost embarrassed (and yes, prideful and stubborn) to say that this is an emotional and financial burden we can no longer bear alone. Absolutely ANY help is appreciated and will go directly to her continued care.
