Help NeeNee - Quadruple Amputee after Sepsis

Donation protected
Trinica “NeeNee” Lee has been a ray of sunshine to any and everyone she has come in contact with for the last 36 years. A paraplegic since birth, NeeNee has been confined to a wheelchair for her entire life due to a spinal injury while in the birth canal during her delivery at the University of Virginia (UVA) hospital in 1985. The 2004 Orange County High School graduate is well known for her room brightening smile and her contagious laugh.

Unsatisfied with the label of “disabled”, NeeNee traded in her disability check for a full time position at Walmart in Zions Crossroads. Where she became familiar to and loved by many during her roles as a self checkout cashier and greeter.

A short while ago NeeNee had one of her kidney removed due an infection and struggled to keep her remaining kidney healthy. On Sept 27th 2021, NeeNee celebrated her 36th birthday. A few days later she was in the ICU fighting for her life after being diagnosed with Sepsis for a second time. Her remaining kidney was failing. She was running a fever, her blood pressure was very low, and her heart was only functioning at 25% when she went into Sepsis shock. We were losing her. The extreme measures taken to restore her blood pressure and attempt to stabilize her vital signs, caused irreversible damage to her arteries. Stopping the blood flow to her legs and hands. The damage resulted in the need to amputate a portion of each of her limbs.

Subsequently, NeeNee departed the hospital as a quadruple amputee and recently return home to start her new life. She had already learned how to strive without the use of her legs, now she is trying to figure it all out after losing the use of her hands as well. As we help NeeNee adjust to her new normal, we are humbly asking for help with the unknown expenses that this adjustment will incur. Furthermore, your donations will help to relieve the stress currently on her primary caregiver, NeeNee’s loving and “too proud to ask for help” elderly mother. NeeNee’s family fear that due to these unforeseen circumstances, NeeNee’s mom will continue to overlook her own health and well-being to care for her daughter. Which would make a bad situation even worse.

If you are able to help, we appreciate you. If you are able to share, we appreciate you. If you are able to pray for healing and strength, we appreciate you. #WeSupportNeeNee

Thank you
