Help Neil McLaughlin as he fights HLRCC

Hello,  I’m fundraising for my husband’s brother, my brother-in-law, Neil McLaughlin. (Far right in recent photo with his brothers and their uncle). Neil is the youngest of the five McLaughlin brothers and has been valiantly fighting a rare, hereditary kidney cancer called HLRCC (Heriditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Cancer syndrome) for the past 4 years. Over the course of this time, Neil has been under the care of a medical team at the National Institute of Health in MD and cancer treatment physicians and hospitals in Long Island, NY, where he lives. At this time, Neil is experiencing a critical and disappointing setback. The treatments he’s being given are not working.

Neil’s late father, my father-in-law, James McLaughlin and Neil’s late sister, my sister-in-law, Mary-Gwen Imbornoni both succumbed to HLRCC. Having watched his sister, his father and his mother all suffer and die from cancer, Neil has had to endure more than his share of grief and challenges in his 48 years.

We are starting this fundraiser in hopes that it might help put Neil’s mind at ease about his financial worries and be able to fully focus on his health and healing. Neil is currently in the hospital and not able to work. Any funds raised will go towards Neil’s medical & hospital bills, rent and other necessary expenses. Along with prayers, if you are able to, I know that Neil would be appreciative of any donation, no matter the amount.
