Help Nelva

A treasured, hard-working member of our Elysian Fields/DeBerry community, Nelva Roquemore, has faced many challenges in life, and always maintained her sweet disposition and undying faith.  Over the past few years, she has suffered not only the loss of her great nephew, Kris Ephraim, but has also had a terrible run of bad health.  She has been in and out of the hospital over the past few months and recently had to have surgery.  She is in serious financial need as she does not yet have insurance adequate to cover the cost of badly needed medicines, with a recent bill of over $1500.00.  She has to have blood pressure medicine and blood thinners, among others.  One medicine that she currently takes costs $20.00 per day out-of-pocket expense, so you can easily see how this is overwhelming for her family. We all donate to missions all over the world, meanwhile, people in our own back yard need help just as much or more.  Please help raise the money Nelva needs to purchase her medicines.
