4th Annual Ergathon, Help Nereid Continue to Grow!

Nereid Boat Club, established in 1868, is one of the oldest boat clubs in the nation. It has a history of overcoming challenges, the most famous being an arson fire that destroyed its premises in 1962 but it was revived in 1994 at its current home in Rutherford, NJ on the banks of the Passaic River.

Nereid is well known in the rowing world with its Youth Team earning medals at prestigious races including USrowing Youth Nationals in 2024 where we won our FIRST National Championship in the Girls Under-17 4x, 2ND in the Boys Youth 4-, and 3RD in the Girls Youth 4+, as well as 5 other crews finishing in the Top 10!! This past Fall we raced at the World's Largest 3 day race at the Head of the Charles, winning the Girls Under-17 4+, 2ND in the Girls Youth 4+ and 3RD in the Boys Coxed 4x!

We have committed to raising $500 per athlete so we can continue to raise funds to expand, and update our fleet. We are looking to purchase an additional high-quality used eight and four singles to help give more kids an opportunity to be a part of the great sport of rowing at Nereid Boat Club. For every $1 raised, athletes will row 10 meters on February 1st with their teammates. If we hit our team target goal, we would have rowed 264 miles collectively!
