Help Nermin Pursue Her PhD and Rebuild After War

I am Nermin Abulibda, a medical doctor from Gaza with masters in Public Health, recently displaced by the devastating war that claimed the lives of my in-laws and left us without a home or jobs. Despite these hardships, my husband and I are determined to create a better future—for ourselves and our community.
I have been offered a PhD position at the University of Leicester, starting January 2025, focusing on empathy-based healthcare education tailored to the Arab Muslim community. This vital research aims to foster more compassionate and effective healthcare for those in need.
While my studentship covers part of my tuition, I need to raise £18,864 to cover the international fees. These funds are essential for me to start my studies and secure my student visa. Due to the financial hardships caused by the ongoing war, I cannot pay the remaining fees alone. Despite reaching out to the university, crowdfunding is my only hope.
This journey is about more than education—it’s about equipping me to help my community heal and thrive. With your support, we can turn this vision into reality.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to this goal. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
