Help Netanya Win Miss Black & Gold
Donation protected
Hello, everyone! My name is Netanya Onyilo, and I am a Junior Theater and Performance Major and Spanish Minor at Spelman College. I am raising funds to compete in the Miss Black and Gold Pageant at Morehouse College, and these funds will go towards dues, hair, makeup, costumes, and transportation. As a financially independent, first-generation scholar, I have overcome significant obstacles while pursuing higher education. With the completion of this pageant, I hope to gain more self-confidence, continue to take bold risks, and execute my platform once I win.
My platform, The G.O.L.D. Standard, influenced by the mission statement of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, focuses on the principles of Generosity, Opportunity, Leadership, and Diversity. As Miss Black & Gold, I look forward to assisting with chapter programming, reigning with integrity, and bringing a fresh perspective to the Alpha Rho Chapter in its centennial year. In 2023, I left my abusive home which led me to become entirely financially independent. Since then, I have faced many losses and curveballs, but this pageant will provide me an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and regain my confidence. With your donation, you will help me take a bold first step in the right direction to become Miss Black & Gold 2024-2025 for the Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Thank you, and may God bless you!
