Help Neven Stanisic Family

Hi I am Edita Maloku,

I do not know who Neven Stanisic is but I have been feeling the pain that the Colorado community has felt from the Boulder shooting. When I was reading through the descriptions of the people who were killed I saw that Neven was from Serbia. I am from Kosovo - our countries have been at war with each other for hundreds of years. The reason I came here as a refugee was because of the  Kosovo/Serbian war. The hurt and hate in our countries runs deep.  Yet I feel this deep love and compassion for him and his family.  I can not imagine the thought of losing my son to such an evil act. I also want this to be a symbol of peace and love. We are all humans who just want to be safe. 

I read that his family came here like my family did and knowing that I can imagine the financial hardship my family would find their self in if I was in Neven's place. My hope is to show them that there is love, kindness and generosity even in the darkest of times.  I also want to be clear that 100% of everything will be going to his family as I have reached out to their church to get the money to Neven's parents. The Reverend Radovan Petrovic is in communication with gofundme and 0% of the funds will be released to me. They will be going to directly into Neven's parents account as soon as the reverend sets that up for them. I just wanted to create this to spread some love due to the tensions in our countries people have questioned the motives. So let me be clear I have no access to funds at any time. This was just me trying to do a good thing. I have spoken with the Reverend a few times and we are all on the same page. Not everyone has hate in their heart and I am sending love to the Stanisic family despite our differences we are all human and no one deserves to be in this situation.
