Help New Bern’s Best Helper

Eugene Sumerell has done more for people in New Bern than any other of which I (Tim Fortune) am aware. He is always available to help his friends, customers and fellow New Bernians, yet Hurricane Florence has wreaked havoc on his business and his home.  He and Brenda have lost their home and contents, and it is uncertain when he will be able to return to his livelihood, Tidewater Marine. 

Whether you can give $5, $10 or any other amount, it will no doubt be appreciated.  He is so humble and unassuming, he will most likely be disappointed in me for setting up this fund because he will feel undeserving.  All funds go directly to him, and I personally assure you that if he has any excess, he will give it to others in need.
