Help New England Aces Attend Pride
Donation protected
The New England Aces (NEA) is a group for asexual-spectrum (ace) and aromantic-spectrum (aro) individuals and allies that provides support in an open and affirming environment, builds community based on friendship and respect, and promotes awareness of ace and aro identities in the New England area through outreach, trainings, and collaboration with community partners.
NEA formed in 2010 as a small Boston-based group and has since grown to more than 1,400 members throughout New England. In addition to hosting regular social and community-building events, NEA members have presented at conferences and workshops across the country.
Visibility around asexuality and aromanticism is growing, but we are still small, relatively unknown subsets of the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. And with LGBTQIA+ rights under attack, now is more important than ever to be able to celebrate ourselves and educate others.
This is where you come in. NEA is entirely run by volunteers, with expenses coming out of our own pockets. We are in need of funds to help members run and participate in various Pride events, both in June 2023 and in the future. We'll use these funds for registration to march in the RI Pride Parade and table at Portsmouth Pride, as well as informational pamphlets, buttons, stickers, and flags to hand out at these and other Pride events. This benefits both members of the asexual and aromantic communities and allies. Participation in Pride is incredibly important for visibility, education, and celebration.
Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, and happy Pride!
