New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) is a nonprofit organization based out of Middleboro, Massachusetts. This organization is an all-volunteer nonprofit, so all of the funds are directed toward buying the supplies and equipment that are needed to support the projects and activities. NECWA strives to protect the marine wildlife that live and feed in the coastal waters of New England. To better understand and conserve coastal marine wildlife, NECWA sponsors many projects in order to protect the beautiful wildlife that live in these waters. One main project conducted each spring and summer is the Southcoast Terrapin Project that focuses on better understanding the Diamondback Terrapin, a threatened species of marsh turtle in Massachusetts. This project, in collaboration with Mass Audubon, focuses on documenting individual terrapins and their behaviors, such as, coming up to nest and feeding in coastal marshes. In order to conduct this project, NECWA is in need of field equipment, including binoculars, PIT tag scanners, scales, turtle crossing signs, brochures, siding scopes, anemometers (wind units), etc. We are asking you to donate whatever you can to help save these beautiful creatures. Anything you donate helps and everyone at NECWA and the beautiful marine wildlife thanks you for your constant support.
