Protective Equip. for New York Healthcare Workers
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family,
We're looking for donations to help and support the Healthcare Workers in New York that DO NOT have what they need to do their jobs safely.
They are in desperate need of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including: protective coveralls, bouffant caps, shoe slips and face shields. These items are no longer supplied or available through hospitals, though required to keep healthcare workers safe while continuing their work. They are asking for help.
The healthcare workers are quarantining themselves from their children (including young babies) and families, they are working endless hours day after day, many are getting sick themselves, and each day they are forced to put aside coping with their own physical & emotional distress, worries and fears to show up for us.
In addition to trying to find ways to support all those affected by this global pandemic, we are emotionally dedicated to making a difference for our best friend Alexis, and her friends and colleagues, working the hospital ER front lines in Brooklyn.
As many of you are already aware, it's a challenge to find available PPE and requires a fair amount of research and time. We're trying to make this as easy as possible on all donors, as we understand many of you are still working full time, have children at home, and are working tirelessly to care for your loved ones. As such, we decided to open this gofundme page as an easy and quick way to offer your support.
For anyone with the means, we ask for your donations, so that we can continue to source, purchase and send the appropriate protective equipment to our heroes in New York.
If you prefer to purchase items and ship direct, please reach out to us for a "Ship To" address, and any other information you may need. If you have any leads on PPE - we would be grateful to hear from you.
Every bit helps. We know our family and friends are supporting in whatever ways they can right now.
Much Love,
Cara, Annice, Jordan and Hannah
