Help Nick and Cassie with Lost Wages Hit and Run
Donation protected
On September 12th Nick Stockwell, a dear friend of mine, was hit by an SUV while riding his motorcycle. The SUV left the scene of the accident and Nick was left not only with a totaled bike, but also a class 3 shoulder separation and possible nerve damage to his neck. Many kind people came to his aid after witnessing the accident and eventually the vehicle was identified. Nick is hopeful that the insurance will cover his medical bills and the loss of the bike.
However, due to the extent of Nick's injuries, he will not be able to do the things he loves for quite a while which includes work. If you know Nick he is an extremely hard worker and is self-employed. All of the work that he does is labor intensive. Because Nick is self-employed there are no perks like paid time off or short-term disability that he can tap into. He will be undergoing PT for the next 6 weeks to see if his injuries can improve without surgery and from there they will re-evaluate. Nick and Cassie also have children that they provide for and the loss of Nick's wages will be difficult for their family.
If you know Nick, you know that he has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone (and the same could certainly be said for his wife Cassie too). Let's share that love and thoughtfulness back with Nick and his family. I am asking you to consider a donation to help with lost wages during this difficult time.
