Help Nick & His Family Beat Lung Cancer
Donation protected
On Thursday, April 20th, 2023, Nick Albert woke up early and went about his usual morning routine while his wife and kids were still asleep. He reached out to close the bedroom door, and suddenly, everything went dark. The family woke to find him suffering a severe seizure. He was rushed to York Hospital, where they identified a series of masses in his brain and lung.
They performed a biopsy and confirmed that he has stage 4 lung cancer (Adenocarcinoma of the lung that has metastasized and spread to his bones and brain). On Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, he underwent brain surgery to remove the largest mass from his brain. He has recently returned home from the hospital and will soon begin treatments.
Nick is a hard-working and dedicated husband and a father of two young children. As a military veteran, he has served his country with honor and distinction. He is only 36 years old and does not smoke. Despite everything he is facing, Nick remains positive - he is focused on his recovery and is determined to beat this disease.
The family is facing immense challenges. Nick is currently unable to work, and due to his recent surgery and seizure risk, he needs 24-hour monitoring and assistance. The family needs our support to help them navigate this trying time and to pay for living and medical expenses. Let's come together and rally around the Alberts!
Thank you so much for your help and compassion! It is appreciated beyond words.
