Help Nick Gross & Family with Cancer Battle

Hello everyone, my name is Rachel Gross, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother Nick Gross and his family. He was tragically and unexpectedly diagnosed with stage IV Kidney Cancer on September 5th. That day was quite honestly the worst day for everyone in our family, but most importantly for Nick. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought this would happen to my big brother. For those of you who do and do not know Nick, let me tell you a story so you can get a better perspective on the type of person he is. When I saw him in the hospital on the day of his diagnosis, I really did not know what to expect, what to do, or what I should say to him. I went into that hospital with the hopes of comforting Nick. The funny thing about that, though, is Nick was the one who ended up comforting me. The words that Nick said to me that day will forever resonate with me. And those words were, “I am going to do everything I can to fight the hell out of this.” Nick is a fighter and always has been. Nick is not the type of person who gives up, nor does a diagnosis define the type of person he is. He will continue to fight the battle and believes he will beat it with the help of his family, friends, and, most importantly, God. Growing up, and still to this day, Nick has always been my hero in ways more than one. Nick is also a hero to his three children.

Although Nick has a great support system, as the famous quote says, “it takes a village to move a mountain.” That said, Nick and his family could use all the help his villagers are willing to give. This GoFundMe will go towards medical and household expenses since Nick cannot work while fighting the fight. His wife Shelby also unexpectedly misses work due to emergency hospital visits, tests, and treatments.

The family wants to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers, and generosity. All things are possible through God.
