Help Nick Stay on His Feet!
Donation protected
Hello, we are two friends of Nick Yackley's who are taking action to help after his recent snowmobile accident. On February 10th, Nick was celebrating a birthday with friends at a snow park near Plain, Washington. At the end of the day, Nick was riding back to camp when he unexpectedly hit a rut. This caused him to lose control of the snowmobile, resulting in a direct collision with a tree at 40 miles per hour. He was rescued by friends and airlifted to a hospital to receive the care he needed.
Nick has experienced severe trauma to his right leg, including his pelvis and knee. In order to recover, his leg needs to be completely immobilized at all times. He will require surgery if he is to walk again. He is currently recovering at home, receiving care from friends and unable to work. In order to heal, he will require surgery. His medical team has informed him he will not be able to use his leg for a minimum of six months.
As a tradesmen and contractor, Nick will be unable to support himself while he recovers. His minimal expenses are roughly $4,000 a month. He is currently looking for work he can do while seated, but his medical needs may limit that further.
Nick needs our help.
Nick is a kind, generous man with a positive outlook on life. He spends his free time volunteering for the homeless and helping people suffering from addiction. He is a reliable friend and who lights up the lives of those he interacts with. He would be the first to give the kind of help he needs right now.
We are here to help Nick raise living expenses for the next six months. He has no family in Washington and lives with roommates. His medical expenses are thankfully covered. However, if we are not able to help him raise funds, his housing, his car, and his business are in jeopardy.
Anything you can give will help.
