Help Nickless Family Get Home Back

Donation protected
The Nickless Family was dealt a tragic blow in January of 2008, when the Family's Father, Tim, died of hepatitis C. Tim was a Nurse, and it is believed he became infected after accidentally being pricked with an infected needle. Fast forward about 9 months, and ABC's "Extreme Makover: Home Edition", led by host Ty Pennington, showed up on the Nickless' doorstep, with plans to tear down their ancient farm house and build them a new home; one that wasn't falling down around them.

Now, nearly nine years later, the home has fallen into foreclosure. Arlene Nickless, the widowed mother of three boys, was injured in an auto accident in 2010, and fell behind on the home's payments. She has battled through the courts to keep her home, but her biggest battle was with the bank that bought her loan.  According to Arlene, they have been unwilling to work with her on this home, and the loan-once managable at just over $30,000 has ballooned to over $100,000.

Despite the overwhelming task of having to pack up the family's belongings, in preparation for moving out of their dream home, Arlene maintains her faith, and remains hopeful...and thankful. "After Tim died", she said, "I walked out the door of our old home, and I saw what Extreme Makeover did as a blessing, and God's way of telling me, 'It will be alright-I will take care of you'.  Right now, I just want to keep my home for my children".

Every dollar raised in this GoFundMe will go directly to Arlene Nickless and her family, so they can either keep their home, or get a new home.
