Help Nicole and the Crab Trap

My name is Jennifer Crockett and I have worked at the Crab Trap for 8 years now. I am currently making a GoFundMe for my boss, Nicole Rich. This lady has been taking hit after hit for the last year, especially in the last month and a half. As most of you customers know, we just took a bad hit from Tropical Storm Alberto and we were closed for a week, cleaning and making repairs to be able to open back up to the public.

Once we opened back up to the public, we stocked back up hoping for a good July and August to get us back afloat. But little did we know, Sunday, July 7 would be our last day working and providing for our little community of Sargent. Hurricane Beryl came through and the Crab Trap sustained extreme damages and is beyond repairs. Not only did Hurricane Beryl just take the restaurant, it took all of its employees' livelihood. That is our home away from home.

As many of you know, Nicole has always been quick to help anybody in their time of need. She definitely has saved me so many times over the years I have worked there, whether it be helping me financially when times got tough or any other needs I have had during hardships. Nicole is the type of person that would give you her shirt off her back if you needed it. To some, the Crab Trap may just be a restaurant but it is more than that, it is Nicole’s livelihood.

She has used all of her savings trying to keep it going after Alberto and Hurricane Beryl took every bit of that, including every bit of equipment she has bought has been ruined, including coolers and coolers of food that was stocked up to feed the community. So what I’m asking is if you can help in any way to help Nicole keep afloat until we can process all that has happened and try to come up with a plan. All of this was very unexpected and us Crab Trap family are all still trying to process this devastating loss. The Crab Trap and our employees are a big family and we are all at a loss right now, we have a plan going at the moment and i want you all to know we are definitely going to fight as hard as we can to open back up so if you could help in any way that would be greatly appreciated! if you are unable to help, can you please take a moment and share!
