Help Nicole Nunn-Faron Fight Injustice

Donation protected
Nicole Nunn-Faron left a long and celebrated career at St. Charles Community College (SCC) for reasons recently explored in a KSDK story. During her time at St. Charles Community College, hundreds of students earned a bachelor's degree in an UMSL cohort partnership that Nicole developed, which allowed for an affordable degree and the community gained new teachers during a teaching shortage. Due to what she claims was a culture of fear and retaliation at SCC, Nicole left the college to explore an exciting new role as Dean of Education at Harris Stowe State University. Soon after, St. Charles Community College, which has its own police department, pressed unfounded misdemeanor charges against Nicole in what her attorney and others have referred to as an act of retaliation for her participation in an EEOC claim and lawsuit against SCC. In a shocking and horrible moment, Nicole learned about SCC's allegations against her by hearing about it while she was at work, after being contacted by a former SCC colleague who read it in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and just like that, she lost everything. She is overcome with mounting legal bills, and St. Charles Community College denied her unemployment. She cannot access her retirement funds until she reaches a certain age, so she took a second mortgage out on her home. Nicole is looking for a new job, and her daughter, a university student, now works three jobs to try to pay her way through school, and make up what Nicole initially intended to contribute. This holiday season, consider chipping in to help Nicole and her family during this unimaginable time.
