Help Nikki Breuer

My mom doesn't like to do this but she wanted to update her family and friends on what's currently going on with her. Monday morning she was sent to University of Iowa Hospitals because she had had severe pain and had been vomiting for over 6 days, losing 10 lbs. She did get admitted and they found out that her spleen is severely swollen (from the Leukemia), She has a very bad kidney infection but her immune system is so bad that her body doesn't have the ability to fight anything off right now. We have also found out that her cancer has progressed to an emergent level and the team is trying to figure out what they can currently do. They said that that is on hold until they get this infection under control. I have confidence in this team of Drs that hopefully together they will figure out a way to make her feel better soon. Her job has now put her on continuous leave without pay and she will have to pay for medical insurance out of pocket along with all other expenses associated with bills, hospital expenses, travel, and losing that income.
