Help Nils Carlstedt Heal and Rebuild
Donation protected
On September 20th, our dear friend, faithful union member, and brother in electricity, Nils Carlstedt, suffered an intense medical emergency which nearly ended his life.
An aneurysm in his aorta that required a valve replacement, and a tear in the aortic wall which was also replaced, has left Nils in extreme pain with a long road to recovery. TAA rupture has a mortality of 97%, so he is extremely lucky to be alive. The good news is he is in good spirits and home with his wife and three beautiful children.
Nils is the primary source of income, and the delicate nature of the recovery process has his spouse, Jackie, to care for their children, ages 6, 4, and 9 months, unable to supplement work.
Winter will come fast and hard, and the recovery plan to return to work is unclear; due to the physical nature of work as a commercial electrician, the timetable is potentially extended.
Every little bit helps, no donation is too small.
Thank you for the positive support and energy to save this man’s life, it has and will be forever appreciated.
