Help Nina Attend Bates Dance Festival

One of my Garth Fagan Dance Student Ensemble students, Nina, has received an incredible opportunity to study at the prestigious Bates Dance Festival this summer. She has been awarded a full tuition scholarship to attend the "Young Dancer's Intensive." Unfortunately, Nina cannot take this opportunity without additional funds for room and board. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her and her family in hopes that you will help us raise enough funds to get Nina to Bates!

Nina is an exceptional student. She is dedicated to her craft, mature, and supportive of her peers. Over the last few weeks I have assisted her with her application for BDF's "Young Dancer's Intensive". This program includes the opportunity to live on the Bates College campus, study with other young dancers from across the country, learn from dance masters, see performances from world renowned companies, and participate in a showcase following the intensive. Nina has also been selected to participate in the "Bates Extensions" program, where she can take one week of classes with adults following the Young Dancer's Intensive. As Nina is a rising junior, BDF is the perfect program to prepare her for college while also furthering her development as a dancer.

When we received news of Nina's acceptance into the program a few days ago, we were ecstatic! We were also immensely grateful when Bates awarded her full tuition, worth almost two thousand dollars! This helped remove some of the financial barriers to Nina's participation in YDI. Now, if we can cover the cost of Nina’s room and board, we will ensure that she can participate!

We'd like to be able to submit Nina's first deposit of $500 by April 15th and we'd like to pay the balance of $1195 by May 15th. Please join me in meeting those goals, and in supporting Nina's growth as a dancer! This is an incredible opportunity that we want to empower her to grasp fully!
