Help Nina's Family Through This Difficult Time

On October 30, 2024 , our beautiful Nina unexpectedly and suddenly was taken from us. She leaves behind her husband, Keith, her 3 year old son Nicholas, her dad, Sal, her two sisters, Carmela and Paola, and their families, her mother and father in law , Carol and John Gumbman, many family, friends, and students both past and present. For the last 10 years, Nina was a Kindergarten teacher working for Paterson Arts and Science Charter School and 16th Avenue School in Elmwood Park. Nina was dedicated to teaching and always strove to be the best teacher she could be. She has had an impact on so many students, their families, and colleagues that were like a 2nd family to her. Nina’s family and friends were her life- she was never too busy for anyone . She was genuine, compassionate, caring and selfless. She always put the needs of others before herself and it truly speaks volumes to the person that she was. She had the most beautiful smile and contagious laugh that could bring a whole group of people together even on a bad day. This loss hurts beyond measure.

We are asking for help for this beautiful family who lost their loved one way too soon❤️ Funds will go toward funeral arrangements, Nicholas’ Education Fund, and any expenses that the family has endured during this time. Nina lived for her family and she would want her family to have the support and love of everyone that crossed her path.
