Help Nisa and Matt get home to Australia

Hi, my name is Nat and I'm appealing to community to help us get our daughter Nisa and her partner Matthieu home. As many of our friends know, Nisa went to Canada in January 2020 to meet with the love of her life, connect with his family and bring him back to Australia. Then Covid happened, our borders closed and they were unable to fly back. In the meantime, Matt’s visa expired and the kids went on the long and expensive journey of applying for a partnership visa through Immi Australia. Last month, that visa was finally granted and they are able to return.

A year and a half since the border closure, flights are few and a one-way economy class ticket from Canada to Brisbane is averaging over $7000. There is also hotel quarantine at this end. The funds raised will be used to cover their travel expenses and are needed urgently so that Nisa and Matt can book their flights.

I’ve never been good at asking for help, especially money, but this is so beyond our means. We ourselves haven’t recovered from the loss of work in the music industry. Whatever you are able to contribute will help Nisa and Matt return home to us. Our whole family would be eternally grateful for your help.
