Help Nisreen's Family Rebuild Their Home in Gaza

Hi, my name is Tara and I'm Irish, living in Belgium. I'm fundraising on behalf of Nisreen and her family in Gaza. You can read Nisreen's story below:

My name is Nisreen Saleh and I am from Gaza. I am the mother of five beautiful children: four girls born before the war and a baby boy born during the war by caesarean section. Their names are Hanan and Layan (12), Janan (10), Habiba (7) and Abdel Halim (7 months). I am asking for your help so that my husband and I can rebuild our family home, which has been totally destroyed.

Before the war, we lived in Northern Gaza in a nice home with a car. My children went to school and I worked as a secretary in a school. We were looking forward to the arrival of our baby. The day before war broke out, we celebrated sharing the news with our friends and family that our baby would be a boy.

But the war has taken so much from us. Our home and car have been completely destroyed. I gave birth to my son by caesarean section where I was forced to use a bucket in the corner of a room as a toilet. My husband still hasn’t met his newborn son because we fled south while he had to stay in the north.

Our dreams and wishes were scattered, along with the stones of our house. I wish there was even one standing wall left to smell the scent of my home one last time, to remember every corner and the happiness that we had there. There was laughter in the walls of every room. There were wishes and dreams around every corner. Now, the safety, warmth and stability of our home is gone and we are homeless.

I am determined to rebuild our home and our lives. But I need your help. Please donate whatever you can to help me rebuild our home.
