Hello to my friends all over the world,
My name is Niveen, and I'm from Gaza. My family of 20 members has been severely affected by the 2023-2025 Gaza war. We lost everything we cherished because of the war: our home, work, source of livelihood, goods warehouses, stores, offices, cars, and even our beloved horse. Now, we are living a life full of struggles to meet our basic needs like water, food, sanitation, and medical care. We now have to start our lives from below zero, Today, I want to share our story with you in the hope that we can find support to rebuild our lives.
Our Life Before the War: We used to live a decent life in a safe and secure home which was a haven for our large family full of beautiful memories in Gaza, and we were engaged in various occupations to support ourselves. We had stores full of commodities warehouses and galleries that provided us a stable income. Our children went to school, we even had cars and a horse, which were invaluable to our daily life and work. until the war in Gaza 2023-2025 turned our happy world upside down.

My dear friend, Angel
- Before the war: I had a job and a community I loved. I had dreams and goals and I was passionate about achieving them. I was planning my future after graduation, looking forward to a life full of possibilities.

My father had spent 50 years of his life building his own business, stores, and repositories, creating a stable livelihood for our family. Despite suffering from Bell's Palsy, diabetes, and high blood pressure, he was our pillar of strength.

My grandmother was our source of wisdom and comfort, and her passing left a void in our hearts. My mother couldn’t even say her goodbyes, being just a few kilometers away, a distance made insurmountable by the conflict.
My brother, in his late twenties, had a promising job and was preparing to start his own family. My sisters and their husbands had built their homes and careers with love and sweat, providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
The Effect of the War: The war came suddenly and brutally, shattering our lives. My father lost his stores and repositories, the result of 50 years of hard work, in an instant and turned to ashes under the ground. His health has deteriorated further under the stress of our circumstances. Me and my sister lost our job offices, which were destroyed completely.

My grandmother passed away amidst the chaos and bombing, and my mother, unable to be by her side, lives with the pain of not being able to bid her a final farewell.
My brother's job, which he had nurtured for years, was lost, along with his dreams of starting a family. My sisters and their husbands saw their homes destroyed and burned, their workplaces turned to ashes. Their children, once full of hope and safety, were forced to leave school and now live with a constant sense of fear and insecurity.

Our beloved Angel horse, who survived the initial bombing, but could not survive the lack of veterinary care and food in the aftermath, a loss that has added to our grief.
Current Struggles: We moved to a place of displacement, struggling to meet our most basic needs. We faced difficulties because a lack of clean water, adequate sanitation, medical care, starvation, extreme weather conditions, and diseases. Food is scarce, and every day is a fight for survival, and no source of income. The emotional toll is immense, as we grapple with the loss of our homes, our livelihoods, and our sense of security.
