Help Noah get a wheelchair
Donation protected

He was born in December 2014 as a full term baby, he went into intensive care for 11 days as his lungs were under developed this was put down to an anomaly and he was discharged just before New years eve.
Noah developed normally until he was around 14 months old when we noticed there was something not quite right with his walking and he didn’t use his arms to crawl or lift anything.
We were referred to Southampton General hospital in January 2016 and the investigations and tests began.
Unfortunately we still do not have a definite diagnosis although it’s appears to be a type of genetic muscular myopathy he is now under Great Ormond street.
Noah has now lost all ability to use his legs and has been fitted with a feeding tube despite this he still continues to amaze us with his resilience.
He is now a full time wheelchair user and is starting school in September.
We desperately want to give him the chance to be like any other child his age which led to us trying to find him a wheelchair that would give him his freedom and independence.
Unfortunately the NHS do not provide a chair like this, The chair Noah needs is around £25,000 so the money raised would be used to fund this, the chair would allow him to run like other children, stand at the same eye level as his friends and more importantly get onto the floor without the need for a mobile hoist being used in front of all his friends in school.
It’s a nerve wracking time for any child being thrust into a new environment meeting new people we just want to make sure we have given him every chance to be confident and independent like any other child.
We would really appreciate any help no matter how small, thank you for taking the time to read Noah's story and a huge thank you from us x
