Help Nong Onyok build their home back from ashes

Hi, I am just a girl who has been blessed to grow up with such amazing people in my life. This time, I am going to take this opportunity to give back to the people who have been a significant part of my upbringing in any way I can.

I am raising money for Nong Onyok and his family. Nong Onyok has been one of the people who helped my family raise me to be the person that I am now.

He and his family just recently experienced one of the most horrendous things one can imagine, just a few days before Christmas. It is with a heavy heart that I am sharing this unforeseen tragedy at their home nestled in the mountains, succumbing to flames, in Antique, Philippines. The fire has taken away not only a structure but also the memories and warmth it held for those who cherished it. Having a simple life in the farm tucked in the mountains, they have everything they could own in what they used to call home. Even the rice that they have harvested and kept away for difficult times, burnt to the ground!

As we head into the holiday season, this is an especially difficult time for all of those involved and in moments like these, let us come together to offer our support and comfort.

May the strength of our community help rebuild the spirit that once dwelt within those humble walls.
