Help Nour and her children escape from Gaza

My name is Elaine Mears and I work in Human Rights in Ireland. In 2008 I visited Palestine where I saw first hand the reality for people living under an apartheid regime. I was so moved by the Palestinian generosity, strength and kindness. I was treated like family there and met so many wonderful and inspiring people.

I am now urgently raising funds to help my friend Nour Ziyad and her 3 beautiful children Hoor (age 4), Muhammad (age 3) and baby Ahmed (age 1) to escape from Gaza into Egypt. Nour's home in Nuseirat was destroyed by bombing, she has lost her livelihood and she is terrified for her safety and the safety of her children. Her husband is in Kuwait and she is trying to reunite with him. Like most young couples they invested all of their money in their new home which is now in ruins so they need our help to pay the border crossing fee for Nour and the kids, travel costs from Egypt to Kuwait and for rent and food costs until they can get back on their feet. Nour is an incredibly intelligent and hard working woman - she studied media and is constantly up-skilling with training courses, on top of being a full-time mum.

Please donate anything that you can. Time is running out for Nour and her children as they are stuck in Rafah which is at high risk of bombing. As soon as the target is reached I will transfer the money to Noor.
