Help Noor Hammad and her family escape Rafah
Donation protected
Noor Hammad is one of thousands of Palestinians trying to save herself and her family from bombardment and starvation in the Gaza Strip.
Before Israel's attacks began, she was a nutritionist in Deir al-Balah. Just days after Noor and her family fled south to Rafah on October 9, their family home was destroyed by Israeli bombing. Noor was heavily pregnant, and gave birth to her baby daughter in January.
Noor can't afford food or nappies for her little girl. All her money goes to paying rent for a makeshift room with a bed on the floor. Noor's mother is now in hospital.
Any money raised will go towards paying for Noor and her family to buy travel permits so they can escape to Egypt. It costs US$6,000 for each travel permit, coming out to AU$27,600 for Noor, her husband and her daughter.
I'm a journalist in Sydney who has been in contact with Noor for several months. Any money raised will be sent to Noor's brother Abdallah Abdalrahim, who lives in Sweden and can send her money directly.
Please help Noor and her family escape.
