God bless you all, thanks for the help you have given me. Lately they have found me with high ammonia levels. This situation has made me anxious because losing control of one self might be one of the most difficult hardships that a human can experienced. It saddens me hearing my children tell me how my behavior changes and how I become helpless in that state. I have experienced changes in moods and internal balance. I hope that the pain and hardships will lessen, but for the moment the beautiful people that surround me gives me strength, the small gesture of strangers gives me faith and by the will of God one day I will regain my health.

Hi, my name is Norma I'm a mother, a sales woman and a former teacher. I love making cakes but sadly I haven't been able to make them lately, due to my illness. I retain liquid on my stomach, sometimes I can't breath and have a lot of pain on my liver.
My illness has been developing over a year and now I have to go to the hospital every Tuesday to get water out of my stomach and it usually fills two to three liters bottles of water.
* Cirrhosis refers to the replacement of normal liver tissue with non-living scar tissue. It is always related to other liver diseases. *
