Help Norman & Betty Rebuild After The Eaton Fire

Hi Everyone,

On January 8th, my uncle Norman and aunt Betty lost everything when the devastating Eaton Canyon Fires swept through Altadena and destroyed their home of 25 years. They were unable to save anything due to the speed at which the fire spread. Now, at the ages of 68 and 75, they are left with nothing but their beloved poodle, Willa, the memories they made with family and friends, and the overwhelming task of starting over.

Norman, born and raised in Pasadena, spent years carefully refurbishing their home by hand, creating what had become the perfect place to enjoy their retirement. Betty, his wife and best friend, shared in those dreams, pouring her love into a beautiful garden that became a gathering place for friends and neighbors. Their house was more than a home—it was a reflection of their hard work and the life they built together.

Throughout their lives, Norman and Betty have been deeply committed to helping others. They’ve supported the Pasadena Humane Society and the Special Olympics for years, giving their time and resources to causes close to their hearts. Now, they find themselves in a position they never imagined—needing help to rebuild.

Unfortunately, their insurance policy was previously cancelled, leaving them without financial support in this trying time.

This GoFundMe is to support Norman and Betty as they begin to rebuild their lives. Donations will go toward immediate needs such as clothing, food, and other daily necessities, as well as help with long-term recovery efforts; specifically those not covered by FEMA.
