Help Nouha rebuild her family home in the Medina
Donation protected
UPDATE: We're overwhelmed by the generous response. Since we have far exceeded the target and we are lucky to have a friend on the ground in Marrakech volunteering her time, a portion of the funds in excess of the target will go towards purchasing basic necessities and dropped off directly at collection points. Necessities such as water, bread, diapers, milk, baby formula, etc have been requested by locals and our friend is in a position to purchase and drop off the goods directly. As of right now, we anticipate $3,000 to go towards these purchases but will keep updating the number as needs rise and donations increase. Either way, every dollar will go directly to people with needs on the ground, immediately, as time is of the essence.
Hey everyone - When we decided to have our wedding in Marrakech, we knew we would need help with Ramsey. We met a wonderful, warm, caring young woman named Nouha through an agency. She and Ramsey had an instant connection. The care and love and trust she displayed with Ramsey allowed us the headspace to truly enjoy our celebration with all of you. Last week would honestly not have been the same without Nouha.
When it was time for us to leave on Wednesday, Nouha came to say a very long, very tearful goodbye to her new little friend. All of us had tears in our eyes as we hugged goodbye. We promised to stay in touch. She gave Ramsey a huge hug and a kiss and he smiled and giggled at his new friend.
48 hours later, her family's home in the Medina was badly damaged in the earthquake.
We're raising money so that Nouha can help rebuild her family's home. We feel it's the least we can do for someone who touched our lives while we celebrated our most special weekend with all of you.
Thank you for your support.
