Help Little Barhomi and his family to evacuate from Gaza

Today, I come to you with an urgent appeal that comes straight from my heart. My family and I are in desperate need of your support, and time is of the essence. We reach out to you with heavy hearts and a deep sense of hope as we share the story.

My name is Nour Bursh , I am Palestinian from Gaza. I reach out to you with a heavy heart, seeking assistance to bring me and my family from Gaza to Egypt. We are seven members trapped amidst bombings and destruction. Me, my husband, our little babe, my mother, father, two sisters. (Mohammed, Ibrahim"Little Barhomi", Eman, Mazen, Mnar, Isra.) We are struggling for survival. We have lost many relatives and friends during this war. We were evacuated from the north to the south after our homes and my family's house were bombed. We are currently living in dire conditions, lacking even the basic necessities such as water, food and drugs. There is no financial aid, and we lack proper clothing. All expenses fall on us now.

The conditions we have been living in since the first day of our displacement are very harsh and indescribable. We suffer from everything. We are struggling to obtain the simplest necessities of life.

My husband "Mohammed"

A dentist, worked at an external clinic. He saved money to start his own project. He opened his private clinic in late 2019, and in 2021, his clinic was destroyed in the war. He lost his project and clinic, but he reopened his clinic again in 2022. However, this war 2023 came and destroyed the clinic again. He lost his project once more. This devastated him, and he fell into a state of depression. Now, he is striving hard to recover from this devastation by seeking to travel abroad.

My Little babe , "Barhomi," was 8 months old when the war started. His teeth had just started to emerge, and he couldn't taste many foods due to food shortages. Now, at one year and four months old, he tastes his first apple in his life.

My father, the head of the family and the primary provider in my small family. He lost his job in contracting due to this war, and now he has no work or source of income. Additionally, he aged 61, has heart disease no medicine and is getting weaker.

My mom suffers from arthritis. She couldn't get her medication throughout the war. We looked everywhere for the medications she needed to ease her pain and help her, but the situation we were in made it nearly impossible to find them. With the severe shortage of medications and the challenging circumstances they faced, we couldn't locate what she needed.

All of us lost our job, with deteriorating conditions, the staggering impact of the cost of living cannot be ignored. Prices have skyrocketed, doubling or even tripling by 700% to 900% or more due to the lack of economic regulation by the Ministry of Economy amid the war. This situation has added an additional burden to our lives, leaving us in a constant state of anxiety and stress.

We now face new challenges that make us wonder about our ability to endure more. We have lost hope in seeing an end to this suffering, living each day as if it were our last, waiting for a new day to come where we can start a new, away from this hell we are living in.

I have decided to create a GoFundMe campaign to cover the expenses, amounting to $50,000. This includes the cost of getting us out of Gaza (there's a substantial fee just to cross the Rafah border, approximately $5,000 per person), our stay in Egypt, and administrative procedures). Everything requires a significant amount of money.

So here is How money will be spent:

* Paying around 5000 US Dollars to every member of my 9-member family to cross Rafah border and get safely to Egypt

* Around 3000$ covering GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% + 0.30$ per transaction)

* The rest of the money will be for housing, food & etc. for a period of time in Egypt

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference to our safety. The funds raised will be used transparently and efficiently to ensure that every dollar is spent on ensuring our safety.
